ENERGY PROJECTS

Momentarily all necessary preparations are being deployed towards SMSD’s first step in managing of waste and garbage as well as in making stable electricity available even in the villages deep in the jungle!

SMDS has been given access to the latest innovation in the area of electricity production, EECT’s innovative Heron Turbine and it’s concept of “Waste to Energy”. An unique concept that solves many social problems by offering the following unique opportunities:
• Waste management (collection and green processing of high quality raw material ……. waste!)
• Production of Biodiesel and Production of Biogas
• Production of Electricity (cheap, green, decentralized production, independent of fixed lines, flexible and variable plants, unique innovation and future production model for 1.5 MW of electricity)

The “Waste to Energy” project concerns the next decades innovation in independent, flexible and 100% green electricity production. The project which is in the final stage of its global marketing and exploitation, is an unique innovative solution including the globally patented overpressure turbine HERON manufactured by the Dutch company EECT (Efficient Energy Conversion Technologies) in cooperation with the daughter- and partner companies

EECT develops and produces the HERON turbines type 1 & 2, with a yield of 43% to 50% (100% more electricity than usually produced by the current facilities) and holds a global patent for the construction of the prototype turbine EECT HERON type 3, a combination that will increase electricity production to an incredible 87%.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

SMSD has undertaken, inter alia, the duty to support and promote active, stable and long-term conditions in the health and education of the state, giving priority to the local villages.

Except the mining projects, the social and commercial developmental projects with humanitarian and environmental benefits, remain one of SMSD’s main and steady goals.

The company’s humanitarian principles aimed at fair treatment of people and the state and their real development with true appreciation for the environment, the traditions, the needs and perspectives of local communities.

MINING ACTIVITIES GOLD & DIAMONDS

Although the country is one of the world’s poorest countries, however, it is known as the “geologique scandale” (vast mineral wealth) and ranks among the richest countries in the world as regards metals, crude oil, fruit, coffee, etc. Specifically, Guinea holds about: a third of global bauxite reserves (about 18 billion tons) and recorded reserves of approximately 500 tonnes of gold and about 4 million kilo-carats of diamonds. The mineral wealth of the country includes large reserves of high quality iron ore, copper and manganese and other minerals and fossils. Very few countries can achieve such a concentration of mineral resources per square meter of surface.

The mining activities of SMSD are performed today with one (1) mining license.
Primarily the ongoing exploitation concerns the mining for gold and diamonds and covers an area of 10 km on the river Diana, in N’Zerekore in the Southeast part of the country. The river Diane is estimated to contain around 1.2 million kilo-carats of diamonds.

The company will continue persuading negotiations and future deals aiming to the purchase of several new high-quality mining licenses.

MEDIATOR & LOCAL PARTNER

One of SMSD’s main occupation is to act for the benefit of third parties by offering its knowledge and services as an intermediary company and local partner to any international company wishing to be established in Guinea.

The political change after the free elections on June 27, 2010 is mainly responsible for the increasing commercial interest towards the Guinean market and subsoil by, by the day increasing international corporations and newcomers stakeholders.

SMSD is well established, popular and extremely welcome in Guinea, with a wide network and a strong and independent knowledge of the local market. The respect, good mutual relations, protection and cooperation of the local people are very important and strong factors in the implementation of operations in countries like Guinea.
